I finally got time to process some more images from SPSP at Wiruna. The attached images are from the astro-imaging field. The light in the bottom left corner of the second image is actually a distant lightning storm - these were going all night on Friday.

The time lapse did not turn out any good because of poor leveling of the panning head.

We (Greg, Dave and I) had great time there and are likely to be back next year.

Cheers,
Alex

Hi Alex

Great photos as usual, I specially like the second image.
See you at Vastroc.

they look great!

since I have been having a hard time getting our camera to take some good widefield shots (blame the equipment! :P) I was wondering if you would share your camera model and lens used, focal length chosen and exposure times?

I like the 2nd one. That's a beauty. Your images are so sharp and clear.

Greg.

thanks for the info- really appreciate it!
i recently tried some more widefield shots with a Nikon D80, in the bush, at 15mm f/4 and they did not turn out that well...
