Came across this impressive fella today, made me jump with the old ticker going into turbo mode, not everyday you encounter a two metre plus reptile . Seen plenty of Perentie's before but this one is the biggest I've seen, pic doesn't do him/her justice ;)

We have one about the same size living next door in a vacant scrub filled block that I've been trying to photograph for months.

Good capture Beren!

Nice Beren!
I had one try and climb up my leg, trying to give it a bit of a snagga....... Jumped a mile before it could grab my leg!!!!
Not as big as your Godzilla ( 1/2 maybe 1/3). Still impressive with their claws/talons(?) though!!!!
I did see a couple(!) trying to mate about the same size as your Godzilla up in Broome.
Just looked at the pic again and I think compared to the rear of the pan trailers and ctainer ( if thats what they are) Godzilla is a bit bigger!!!!
Cheers

I've eaten a few when I lived up on the stations. A lot of people complain about the taste, but I love 'em! Beautiful specimen.

yummo!

you cook goanna the same way as you do emu, put a rock in with it and when the rock is soft the meat will be tender.
