Hi All,
This morning from Canberra there were two Iridium flares within 28 seconds, and just 2 degrees apart. Both satellites were visible travelling together for quite some time, it looked great.
This shot was taken with a Canon 7D, 35mm f/2 prime @ f/2.8, ISO1600, 77 seconds. Shot from suburban Dickson, very close to the shops, so a fair bit of light pollution. No filters, I left the LPS at home in Sydney.....
Even though the flares were only 28 seconds apart, I had to make the exposure longer to capture both approaches and departure. Both Iridiums were heading North to South, but as a bonus another satellite was heading from South to North through the same part of the sky.
Cheers,
Jason.
