In a few months I will be turning 60. But tonight, after 3 + years of waiting I plainly saw the Cassini Division. At 200x there was a big bold black separator on both sides of Jupiter and it was an 'oh wow'.

I also managed to grab Rhea, Tethys, Titan and Dione.

For the first time in a long time it was dark, clear and stable so I was also able to see NGC 3199 with direct vision and no filter at 44x.

It is just so sweet to be under clear skies again.... even if only for 2 hours.

Glad you had a good night though!

Thats it sleep deprivation, or just brain malfunction

Nevertheless it was a fun night. Dark clear stable even managed to see with direct vision at 44x NGC 3199.

It was a swaying mist of luminosity.

If you have a clear and stable night it should not be a problem. The rings have really opened up.
