In a few months I will be turning 60. But tonight, after 3 + years of waiting I plainly saw the Cassini Division. At 200x there was a big bold black separator on both sides of Jupiter and it was an 'oh wow'.
I also managed to grab Rhea, Tethys, Titan and Dione.
For the first time in a long time it was dark, clear and stable so I was also able to see NGC 3199 with direct vision and no filter at 44x.
It is just so sweet to be under clear skies again.... even if only for 2 hours.
