Hey guys
I saw a thread about Chat Rooms which gave me an idea. How about:
Experienced & patient AP experts demonstrating in 'real time' how they process images:
· via WEBEX / TEAMVIEWER or equivalent (plenty of ways to do it);
· newbies get to ask Q's;
· held once a week, at a set time – like an IIS TV program; and
· open to all IIS member, eg: 'an evening with Mrs/Mr X, planetary/deep sky AP specialist' etc...
I got this idea from Louie’s fantastic vids, and from the Space Image Processing Tutorials provide by the Planetary Society: http://www.planetary.org/explore/topics/imaging/tutorials.html. I learn better this way - monkey see monkey do. :)
There is a wealth of knowledge out there. Time to share!
P.S. yes – I should attend some of the fantastic AP conferences across the country, except for the costs and time off, and yes – I am a member of my local astro society but these services are not readily available.
