Hi again Guys

Ok,so I've been doing a lot of this processing 32"RC Jim Misti data which he makes available from his site.

This is a wonderful edge on galaxy in Andromeda which I'm sure that most folk no of.

At a distance of 30 million light years I'm sure we won't be visiting this place any time soon.

Data acquisition by Jim Misti & Processed by Louie Atalasidis

32"RC

STL1100

Luminance: 95 minutes

RGB: 30/30/30 and all suns at 5 minutes.

AA4 for color combine,CCDStack for Decon and CS4 for LRGB post processing.

Hope you enjoy.

Love these galaxies we can't get onto...
Just shows what large optics can do in such a short period of time.
Great work on the processing Louie!
The back ground and colour is perfect!

Thanks for sharing
Rich

Yeh great galaxy that Louie, perfectly edge on huh? You have processed it very nicely too.

I like your processing software flow, I must get CCDStack the decon in AA4 has always bothered me and I recon the decon in CCDStack could be better...? What do you think?

Ric,Rich and Mike....thanks guys!

Rich, yeah mate I guess It's true that big aperture does shorten exposure times needed for a reasonable result....left me wishing for more exposure time still...doesn't It always anyway.

Mike yeah these edge on are fabulous when the detail pops out.

CCDStack I'm sure you will love and the help files are quite easy to follow which is a pleasant change from many others programs I've tried.

The control you have over Decon you will love too I think and not to mention bad pixel removal which is also very powerful and not too hard to get your head around.

CCDstack is also very powerful when It comes to rotation and alignment, and I've found It does a much better job than Registar...my Registar has been sitting unused for a while.

AA4,well I still love It for camera control and color synthesis or RGB combine....really does a good job.

I've been reading around the Yahoo groups that AA5 will be much improved but that remains to be seen.

Photoshop, well I think I'll die with that one!

Again,thanks for your time guys!
