Managed to get the scope out last night for a few hours:D
I tried out O111 and UHC filters on different objects and with a veriety of eyepieces.
Seeing was not very good so just looked at some old friends, NGC's 3132,3372,4945,4565,4372,4833, 5128,5139, 5189,4655/56,4631,6321
Messier's 42,65,66,83, 104.+Ghost of Jupiter PN.
Also T PYXIDIS.
Thats all I can think if at the moment
Mist came over about 22.30 so called it a night.
It was enjoyable while it lasted out under the stars:D
Cheers
Not a reply.
Just kidding, Ron!
Nothing like visiting some old friends!
Regards, Rob
Sounds good Ron. As you say, its nice to get put there. weather has improved up here, so fingers crossed for our Saturday night viewing. :D
:confused2: :confused2: :confused2:
:poke: Righy-o. Consider this not a response either:P
Guess I'll go off and look up most of those NGC objects then, because your descriptions were non descriptive to the extreme. :screwy: :P
Okay, have googled. I see you have been busy galaxy hunting everywhere from Hercules to Musca to Centaurus and beyond. I may as well call this my own obs report, after all the work I did, I feel I did it myself. :P:poke:

Thanks Rob and Liz:thumbsup:
Suzy I wonder if deep down in my "Little Grey Cells" I thought some people would troll through the post to see what the " he observed:P;)
I can only write so many times about Omega Cent,Cent A , M104,ect ect ect ect ect:poke:
As I said I did but only look and NOT observe them :poke:
I am glad you enjoyed your observing session
It saved you getting the scope out:P;)
Thankyou for your reply to my post:thumbsup:

Might catch up with you then Wes:thumbsup:
Cheers
 Didn't expect someone (moi) to go chase down all the objects you "saw but not observed" and keep you honest hah?! :P:P:P
That's so funny, I can't believe I pulled you up despite the lack of information you gave. :P I might be getting good at this. :D
So where is the information you mention?
Not that it matters for me I guess... I spent goodness knows how long googling everything you did. I know it all now...
And look who made APOD today- :eyepop: none other than NGC6231 itself!!!
Seems I'm going to great lengths to extract any little bit of detail of an obs I can get out of this thread. :screwy:
I hope everyone realises I am just having a bit of fun with Ron (he knows I am ;)).

Suzy, the information I was referring to is in the Quotes box which mentions what the objects are and their constellations:shrug:
But then as you say it makes no matter to you as you KNOW IT ALL :P:rolleyes::lol:
Cheers:thumbsup:
That's just one object. :poke:
Yes, don't worry, I know everywhere you went...
Probably even guess what time you took a break for a cuppa too.

I hope this enlightens you:question::P;)
Are you spying on me:shrug:,or do yo just know me too well:rolleyes::question::lol:
Ahemmm *clear throat*
This is where the confusion lays....
You're original post still stands as the same (see above) :P.
You have put a new post into a quote box (refer post #6). A quote box is used for quoting something that has already been said. :P :D
I'll await your apology :P. :lol::lol::lol:
I'm pedantic when it comes to obs reports, I know I know. :)
If I admit to spying on you, two men in black suits holding a neatly typed piece of paper may come knocking on my door.
Let's just say, I monitor your occasional movement for the sake of science. ;)
By the way, I would be particularly interested to get a proper obs report of T.Pyxidis & The Ghost of Jupiter PN (thru a 16") in the near future. :D
Sheeez Ron "seeing" something has ended up being a whole lot more work for you here in this forum as "observing" hasn't it.:rofl::rofl:

I don't know about the men in black:question:,Mmmmm But I sure have done a lot of typing on this thread, it would have saved my typing fingers if I had done a proper observing report:rolleyes::screwy::lol::lol:: lol::lol::lol:
I will obey your command and weather permitting try to observe those two objects this weekend and do a proper observing report to save my sanity:P:prey2::prey2:http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/../vbiis/images/smilies/winking70.gif
There's a good man!
Look forward to it. :D
