tonight i had my scope out and i managed to get my mount polar aligned because saturn stayed in the FOV for over an hour with only a small amount of drift. Im still trying to get the GOTO in the gemini 2 to work. I am using the gemini ascom program to go the alignments. I enter in the co ordinates of the star then i press goto on the program. The scope goes near the star but i always have to make adjustments to center the star. Once the Star is in the FOV i press Sync on the first star.Next i choose another star and do the same process except this time i press Align1 button.I am using alignmaster for the best 2 stars.

Can anyone give me the correct procedure in doing the star alignment please? I am only guessing on how to do this. Any tips would be great as i really want the goto working so i can find alot of objects to view.

The software for multiple alignments is not finished, and you have to do some alignment stuff through the Gemini web interface.

You should be following the Gemini ASCOM and Gemini-II user's groups on Yahoo.

Mark, if your polar alignment is spot on then the G11 will slew to any object and you only have to do a one star alignment.
When i start up my mount and slew to a star or object, it will be in the middle or near the middle of my imager.
I am using the sync function in TheSky6 and nothing else.

Apparently star alignment/sync at the moment only works through the web interface

I've used Alignmaster with good affect

does the gemini driver program work with a one star alignment or do i need to buy thesky6?

Yep Mark it will if you are pretty well aligned to the SCP, that is all i ever used when i was imaging, you don't need to set up a alignment model, as some do.
