Wow, this is tricky as so light out there with Moon and incoming Dawn.
Venus was blazing away, but other planets hard to pick as getting light on the eastern horizon. Didnt spot Jupiter which was probably hidden in the low lying cloud.
Probably another week will be better with Mercury, Mars and Jupiter a little higher, and Moon waning.
Was going to check for Comet C/2011 C1 McNaught but sky too light.
Still .... a beautiful morning. :D

Very Nice Liz,
Love the Palm trees and clouds...... reminds me of when I worked on Long Island and Daydream Island!!!
But I could not see Uranus........on your pic, maybe my monitor...
Cheers

Thank you Derek, Bart and Molly. :)
Bart, could see Uranus in the pic, but very faint indeed!! Didnt show in many of the photos (yes, took quite a few) as the sky was sooo light. Neptune also around that area, to the north of Mars, but didnt look for that one.

Nice images Liz! I set the alarm for 4:40 yesterday as well, but too many clouds. And the fog rolled in just as Mercury and Mars were rising this morning.
Cheers,
Stephen

OMG!!!!!
I was going to recreate your pic night before last...... walked outside with the Nikon on the tripod.....(settings set inside) and faced the camera to the west.
I looked up at the sky once again.....then hung my head in shame ...picked up the tripod and went back inside.......I wasn't sure if I was going to post my little story but hey all fun. ( what was that thread where you tell your boo boo's????)
I'll try tomorrow morning whilst at work ( this morning Perth had rain and clouds - of course).
:ashamed:...whats that Homer????? DOOOOOH!!!!!
