Wanted: 2nd hand mount suitable for ED80

I am getting an ED80 , and want a mount (second hand) for when it's not strapped to the back of my scope (which will be when my sons want to use it).

If you have one lying around doing nothing, why not sell to me for some $$$ so you can invest in a new EP. ;)

EQ5 $250, if Geoff or Mick Pinner don't want it. In good nick with only some minor cosmetic blemishes: scrathes on the counterweight shaft, how I got it, and a few marks on the dovetail mount where mounting plates have scored it. But postage with the heavy counterweights might be a killer.

If you can give me a fixed figure incl of postage, I can give that my serious consideration. An EQ5 would be very solid for the ED80. :confuse3:

Let me just shoot myself in the foot here and say that you may find the mount too solid depending on how grab and go you want it to be. Stu's motorised AZ3 in the buy&sell is another option you might consider.

Hey Robin and Ezy-Styles....sounds like you guys need to talk. I suspect cost of freight from Vic will make the cost benefit of second hand v new from NSW less attractive to me, but you are both south of the border, so that should make it more do-able. ;)

BTW, from the photos, your mount looks like an EQ3-2, unless I am very much mistaken. :confuse3:

hey Rod, yeah it is the EQ3-2. I thought it was an EQ5 but was wrong. Robin, if you want it, PM me a price and ill send it out to you since you are in Victoria, might be easier as requested from Rod.
