M42 using a modified Samsung SCB-4000 security ccd camera

Still experimenting with this camera , here is a photoshopped picture taken with the above camera , of M42 . It is a stack of 180 , 5.4 second integrated exposures (senseup x256) taken through a C9.25" with a focal reducer , this evening. The moon was full and at least 20 degrees above the horizon with orion in the west an hour after sunset.The sky was very bright around m42.

wicked colour there Philip. Can you include a few of your shorter shots to recover the trap area?

Hi David , im still experimenting with all the settings ( complicated ) , but eventually will do as you suggested. The colour is as you see it on the monitor. The final image underwent a bit of cleaning in photoshop to remove artifacts from stacking.The overall result is as pleasing as is the live view.
