NGC2070 in Ha

Another Ha image from Mt Beauty. I don't seem to be able to get clear enough skies during the new moon or work gets in the way so lately Ha seems to be my only hope at an image.

This one:
5 X 15 minute subs
Camera: QHY9 with Baader 7nm Ha
Scope: Takahashi FSQ106ED at F5

This was suppose to have a lot more exposure time (I love these longer nights) but the session was interupted with high whispy clouds.
It is nice just to be outside capturing something.

Very nice Doug - got a shock when I first viewed the image, the 7nm filter really pulls out a lot of the 'bulk' of the Tarantula - beautifully clean image.
The power of the FSQ glass is really in evidence here - I've always been a sucker for those little(!) Ha bubbles in the LMC

Very nice Doug. That combo has an enormous field and I love the little wispy outcrops of Ha dotted across the field - like mini Rosettes.

More data from those other NB filters and get those groovy colours a'coming. :P

Just a curious question, why the 8300 and not the 11002 as you usually see with this scope? (not that the 8300 doesn't collect great detail)
