Just wanted to post some info about ADM mounting systems. I wanted t mount a Vixen VMC95L to my Meade LX200 10". My first thoughts were a Losmondy dovetail plate and some mounting rings. I was knocked over when I found out the cost involved in this simple mounting process. This hobby can really rape your wallet.

I was looking on the net at other options when I found a site that makes all sorts of mounting options for scopes and many are fully compatible with other brands on the market. I am always a little unsure of purchasing from sites on the net so I look for reviews on these mounts. All the things I read were very good and I thought I would go for it. I purchase a guide scope kit that had a lightweight mounting bar (dovetail) and I could choose my ring size that I needed. It ended up costing me less than half the price including shipping ($30us) to get the system to my door. It is already mounted on my scope and I am very happy with the quality of the product. The mount is rock solid!

We have a bit of cloud here tonight so I hope to have my first attempt at setting up a guiding system with my SPC900nc webcam. I hope to use K3CCDTOOLS or PHD to do the guiding. Another new endeavor towards getting better pictures and loving all the learning this hobby brings.

I am in no way connected with ADM, but wanted to share my experience in the hope others that are not aware can save some money on quality equipment. If you are anything like me, money is getting very hard to get hold of and keep...

Thanks for reading my info

Mardy

I too have been happy with the service, quality and relatively cheap shipping rates of ADM gear, I have a Losmandy to Vixen dovetail plate on my new G11, a far cheaper way to go than changing everything over to the Losmandy standard

Hi Trevor, I went and had a look at your webpage. Very nice pictures and I enjoyed looking at your site (Good Job). I hope to put one together myself once I get some more images up my sleave. Been getting not too bad results, but need to error correct for the real long exposures. I am in hope that once I use computer guiding things will get even better. Now I have these ADM mounts I will be going in the right direction. They are solid as a rock so I don't think I will have flexture problems with these mounts...

Thanks for you response and a chance to look at your work.

ADM = Anthony Davoli Machining. Anthony does good work, no doubt about it. I met him at the ADM Accessories booth at PATS last year. He solved a problem for me right there on the spot. I went home that day with everything I needed. I was very impressed.

I echo the previous comments. Anthony is a great guy to deal with on-line.
Responds to most emails same day.

Shipping costs are very reasonable, if you buy multiple items (max shipping USD48).

I have quite a few examples of his fine workmanship - all arrived well packed with the correct fasteners.

His SBS bar systems are rock solid.

Must give a plug for the ADM Dual Saddle. This has both Losmandy and Vixen dovetail clamps in the one saddle! They work very well with twin clamp knobs. Link: http://admaccessories.com/D_Series_Dual_Saddles.htm

ADM has Dual Saddle versions which are a simple changeover for most mounts.

No commercial association - just a happy customer.

Ditto, I too have one of Anthony's dual saddles and it works very nicely on my Losmandy GM 8 mount (much better than the original Losmandy saddle).

I have the ADM mini dovetail bar and tube rings for my C11 for mounting the Megrez 72 and the CGE mount bolts to replace the original celestron hex bolts. All good value and top quality direct from Anthony.
