Here are some pics showing my past & present PST 90mm mod.
I followed Ken's advice & started with 90mm Surplus Shed objective, some 100mm PVC pipe & an old focuser.
For ERF I used UV-IR (Rosco) filter with the Wratten#25 filter.
This worked very well, so I decided to do a "deluxe" version.
I obtained Skywatcher 90mm refractor , which was shortened by 90mm.
I also bought 90mm Baader D -ERF & GSO refractor focuser to suit.
Used Celestron C11 dovetail & some plumbing clamps to attache it to EQ6.
The whole set up works really well & is a HUGE improvement on my "sick" PST.
Many thanks to Ken for his excellent articles & advice - made this mod very easy to do.
Stage 2 mod will be happening soon, I hope...

Arek,
Certainly looks like you're almost there. Well done!!
The PST mod is an excellent and with a good ERF, a 100% safe method of increasing the resolution of the humble PST.
I notice on the early "Mexican assembled" PST's that they have enormous amounts of Loctite on all the threads....makes it a difficult (not impossible) job to separate the PST etalon from the gold tube and black box.
Everyone who has done the mod has been impressed with the results.
Well worth considering.
Onwards and Upwards.
