This image was obtained using a 6 inch takahashi (GRAS003).
Decided to post it to show people what they can do with the free trial.

Nice capture! What was the exposure time? Was this a single exposure? GRAS is a pretty awesome way to start exploring the skies for sure.

Ivo....no, the piccie is made up of a number of exposures. GRAS does all the combining of subs and processing for you before you get the final piccie. However, when you go onto the more advanced scopes, you can do it all yourself.

It's a single 10 minute exposure of a chosen messier object. With the trial program all you get to control is what you get to take a picture of.

They must have changed it because when I first used them, they combined subs to create an image of the designated duration for your object. Mind you, that was 3 years ago.

Still, it does give people a taste of imaging, which is the whole idea of the trial program :)
