Got a very silly question to ask, with the counter weight on a EQ mount, are they meant to be sitting right below the telscope or the side? When viewing, the counter weight are normally facing the left and the telscope on the right in a slaint. Is that why im getting the shaky mirror effect when using the slow-mo knobs? You see, i still don't know the front/back of the mount. The pic below shows how i normally view.

Thanks

Ezy, go back to square one. Make sure the tube is balanced in both axes. (ie; 2 x axis).:P It appears your tube is slightly too far back in the mounting bracket. Adjust with tube in the horizontal position. :D L.

By balance alone... Which will vary slightly, depending on the E/Pc used..Try to have it 'slightly' towards the rear, just to keep a little 'tension' on the gears..:D L.
