Hi everyone

We have had four great nights for asatrophotography along the Mornington Peninsula. I was only able to image last night at the Briars Mt Martha. I captured this majestic celestal object NGC5139 using my friend's 80mm Orion "ED80". I must admit there is something about wideview astrophotography I really enjoy!.
Details:
ED80 ?F/6.5
Focal reducer/corrector x 0.85
2 minute subs x 10
Dark frame only
Pentax K-x @ 800iso
Unguided NEQ6pro
Processed = DSS, PS CS2.

Best Regards Paul

Thank you everyone for your great comments.

I think I will borrow the same scope again.
Paul.

Very nice Paul. Resolved well to the core. This is harder with the wide field as everything is closer together and focus becomes much more critical.
Very well done.

Hi Doug

Yes when l've used my 8" astrograph I have had issues with the core being "blown out"
or over stretched it while processing. I will apply the same techinque when using the astrograph and see if I can achieve a simular result.

Thanks Doug.

Regards Paul.
