Hi All,

Here's the story.

My wife is in China, at the moment, and I have located a factory that makes the illuminated reticles with the double cross-lines. Not a trading company either, they are the actual factory - they even invited my wife out to see the operation.

Now, with the AUD so strong against the CNY, I thought I might bring a bunch of these reticles in, for those that want them.

I am definitely getting hold of one for myself.

Prices : Depends a little on Customs, but you will be looking between $30-35 at the most, plus shipping from Central Coast NSW (if applicable).

Any questions, please feel free.

Definite orders, please PM me, so I can compile a list.

Hi Shane... A little off topic but I noticed that you have a field De-Rotor in your kit of items. Send me a PM as I would like to know how you have found using it and what sort of results you have had. I also have one but have only used it a couple of times with good results.

Good price on the Reticles. I would have got one myself if I didn't already own one..

Regards
Martin

Hi Martin,

Yeah, the price is good. I think I saw them for significantly more locally, but I can't compare them, not having one in my hands yet. I guess as long as it does the job that it is designed for ...

To answer a question that has come up in a couple of PMs ..

If only a few people want them, I will get my wife to throw them in her suitcase. She'll be back around ANZAC Day. If there is a bigger demand then I'll have to sea freight them, and it could be closer to 6 weeks, once the boat is offloaded with our regular order, which will be containerised.

Also, these should go into a box, and into a 500g red post satchel. I think the postage nationwide on these is about $7.00.

No problem David - Listed.

Yeah, they will be 1.25. I never thought to ask them if they do a 2-inch version!

Food for thought.

Bugger, I had a busy week last week and forgot all about this thread. If it is not too late could you add one for me, if not, my slackness, my loss.

Terrific, I assume the easiest payment method will be EFT and if so you would be PMing buyers with the account details when the time comes?

Looking forward to the goto alignment being a touch easier. It is always a bit of a guess aligning it otherwise.

Hi Paul, Yeah, I will be PM'ing the bank details once these things have arrived.

For the record, Aust Post charges $8.80 for the 500g Express Post satchels. I believe that these EP's weigh between 170g and 200g, so this satchel looks like the best bet, for fast delivery and quick alignment on your scopes.

Anyway, everyone who has requested one, and I have acknowledged, will get a PM with the details that they need.

The reticles have been ordered, just awaiting delivery to my agent.

UPDATE : I have arranged for my wife to bring in the Illuminated Eyepieces when she comes back into the country.

She will be arriving on Tuesday morning, but seeing as it is a public holiday, nothing will be posted out until the following day at the earliest.

I will be PM'ing the bank details with the final price once she gets back in. I have to wait to see what Customs wants to do at the airport.

Also, from what I have ordered, there are 2 pieces left, if anybody wanted one, but was worried that they missed out. First in ...

Cheers

OK, the first lot were shipped yesterday, and they should start arriving today and early next week.

We are just out of Sydney, so express post generally takes 2 business days to places like Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth.

Another batch is leaving in today's post, with only a handful outstanding at this stage. Pretty-well everyone has contacted me though, so I am confident that the last ones should be sent early next week, to arrive in good time for the weekend.

Out of interest, Shane, do you wish to disclose the final delivered price? I already had one - a bit mucky between the elements, but works OK - so I wasn't in the market, but curious. Ta, Eric :)

Shano592
03-05-2011, 01:38 PM
Hi Erick,

The final price was $35, plus flat delivery charge of $8.80 for a 500g Express Post satchel. All up $43.80.

I will probably do another round for delivery in late June. Please PM, anyone that is interested, and I will make a preliminary list.

They will be a little more expensive next time around, as I will need to add some international shipping onto the top of each. I would say around $40-45 plus the shipping of $8.80.

Erick, have you tried pulling yours apart for a cleanup? I had to do it with one of these (turns out it was my one). I actually made it worse for a while there, but then it all came good with a bit of lens cleaner on a piece of lens tissue paper.

erick

Thanks Shane, perhaps I will pull it apart. But I don't observe with it, just centre stars occasionally - so it does that job well in its current condition.

ps. good price. Looks like at least USD70 retail for a brand version of this one.

Have you got any left ?

Shano592
16-05-2011, 09:44 AM
Hi Stu. I don't have any left, but the boss looks like she may be heading back to China very soon. If that happens, I'll put out another EOI listing, separate to this one, and start it all again.

We'll know within the next few days.
