Hello sun worshippers :)

I was late that day, enjoying the first real sunny sunday this year, but was notified by a Halpha fan fellow that there is quite some activity near the edge where the AR is moving out of sight, a good subject to make an animation of. So I installed the modified PST on the mount to see what was going on :) There was terrible seeing and I had to stop the animation eventually because of "um, where is the sun?"-seeing.

So I only had 53 Minutes to image, made 53 videos and stacked them. I did interleaving frames because the prominence was too fast for my 10 second recording / 50 second waiting rhythm and I don't like jerky animations. I was using a 4" PST at f/30 (3m focal length) and a Lumenera Lu035m (I usually use a DMK31) to get the most out of the 10 seconds. Longer video lengths would have motion blurred the stack.

Animation is 10MB: *click* (http://darkchamber.de/astro/images/sonne/sonne-animation-11-04-03.gif) or you can see a small 1MB preview here: *clicky* (http://darkchamber.de/astro/images/sonne/sonne-animation-11-04-03-preview.gif)
