Hi there,
I am returning citizen to this hobby and am really keen on purchasing the Skywatcher Heritage P130 to use while I continue saving for something more advanced.
But I can't find a retailer for this scope anywhere!!!!
http://www.skywatcher.com/swtinc/product.php?id=146&class1=1&class2=106
Would gratefully appreciate if any one could suggest possible retailers in Australia that would stock this scope. Else if any International retailers would ship it to Australia.
Your help is greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Ash

Hi Ash, the Skywatcher site lists these people as their Australian Distributor....
http://www.tasco.com.au/
.
Just curious, why are you so set on that particular instrument?

Thanks Michael,
Have sent them an email.
I just think this little thing is perfect for me because of the portability, I can just pick it up and walk down to the park set it on a table and start viewing without any setup. :)

Hi Gravity,
Did you ever manage to find a Skywatcher, Heritgage 130P in Australia ?
I have also been looking and encountered the same problem.
I contacted the only official supplier of Skywatcher in Australia, Tasco, via email based on the link in this thread, and they replied:
Thank you for your enquiry about the Skywatcher Heritage P130 telescope. This telescope is not available yet. We should have stock by end of June/early July. If you would like to contact me again then, I can advise you on a stockist near you.
I contacted Bintel but they only have the smaller telescope in the tabletop range and don't intend to stock the 130P.
I also contacted Astronomia in the UK (they have a nice looking website) but they never replied.
I have a 10" dobsonian but sometimes I just want something I can carry and almost throw in the back of the car and just look at the moon or something easy like that.
Cheerio !

Hi Mate,
Tasco did reply and advised me that the model is new and they would have more information in July.
However from Bintel -
I received a reply only this morning from the "Senior Telescope Technician" - "Don" that they are due for release into Australia in June.
He also advised quote: "We have plenty on order and will have them as soon as they become available".
