Been a while since I shot macro. Not many keepers and these were kinda scraping the barrel even.

Quite lucky to get close to the damselfly. The second shot was shot at 2:1 magnification with the MP-E 65 at about 60mm from the front of lens. They're very timid but if you don't make any sudden moves, stay out of the sunlight so you don't throw a shadow on them, and move slowly, you can get close. Just missed focus on the eyes by less than a millimetre. :(

The lynx spider shot isn't really that good, just liked how he was waving hello to me :)

All shots uncropped.

Hi Troy

Nice shooting! The lighting looks very pleasing and natural and good job on the Damselfly, they are harder than Blue Banded Bees in my experience!

Good to see you flexing your macro muscles again - you haven’t lost your touch.

Cheers

Dennis

Thanks guys. I missed a really, really cool/pretty jumping spider. Got very close to it but moved too quickly, startled it, and it jumped onto the front of my lens. After I changed my underpants, I put it back on the bush but it was much too aggravated/excited to stay still to shoot. I'll have to go back with spare undies to try to shoot her again.
