View Full Version here: : Omega Centauri @ Lostock - 20Da
I finally got around to processing my Omega Centauri NGC 5139 frames.
This was taken at Lostock early Sunday morning using Louie Atalas' gear.
Thanks Louie.
Two frames stacked each were 1 minute exposure @ 1600 ISO using the Canon 20Da. InCamera Noise Reduction was used as was the live focus mode to focus the frames.
Post processing in Photoshop.
Shot through the 80ED on a G11 mount, no guiding just tracking.
The first is the full frame (reduced for the forum) and the second is a cropped closeup of the core.
Thanks for looking guys.

Nice one Andrew.....I'm glad your enjoying the 20DA.
It was good to see someone on Astromart selling his modified Hutech 20d for a 20DA for the extra feature's....his belief was the extra features outway the extra HA sensitivity on the modded 20D.

Andrew, a spectacular image, mate! I had a peek at Omega Centauri on the Sat night at Lostock at about midnight, and she was a wonderful site. First time this summer for me, and it took my breath away. You have captured it very well!
