Tonight's seeing is pretty steady and here is
the first quick set of many.....

Calibrated/resampled/stacked then shapened /curves etc
before resizing back down to a nice full screen size.
This is a stack of ALL 499 frames....no guiding.

No Guiding!!!
Your stars are almost round! Top stuff.

Nice image scale too. It's BIG.

Very nice!
How long was the exposure time for the frames?

Nice going Steve. That mount is really performing well.

:) Nice work Steve.
A bit over stretched for my liking, but it's bought out lots of detail in the galaxy itself.

Yeah Steve, there is some nice resolution in there , shame you couldn't fit her all in.

Steve
There are some dust bunnies showing in your frames as well as a large gradient. I would actually do some guiding instead of stacking a large number of short exposures . That way your stars will have a better shape to them.
The DSI II is actually a camera capable of excellent photos but the way you are using it it tends to make the frame grainy as well as having a very shallow set of greyscales.
Just my 2c worth but it's. Impressive what you have done with such short exposures.

Nice going Steve, admire the home made kit producing great results. Seeing was pretty good but when I got it up to 2000x it was a little wobbly. Still be both got images and that is a good thing.

Thanks lovely people....

Here is a quick process of capture number 2...
NGC 5128.. Equal with my best I think if I use Mike's
resolution indicator. Except for a dust bunny or three.
Another 10 ft from the monitor special :)

I'm glad you were out Paul, I was hoping you would be last night :)
Soooooooooo tired.
Thanks Al for your thoughts, I will try and respond when I can
think a bit clearer :)

Going to go again tonight? I am. Hopefully the seeing will improve tonight. Plenty of time to sleep when your dead mate.;)
