I finally managed to get some colour for the faint planetary Longmore 5 last night. The seeing conditions were pretty awful with a strong wind blowing most of the time but at least it stayed clear.

Cheers

Steve

Very beautiful little PN that Steve!

Wonder what that smudge is right next to that orange star, above left of the PN..?

Thanks Mike! I presume it's a galaxy.

Really a lovely little object Steve.
I really like these subtle PN's... such a faint bubble, the colour data is so delicate... just perfect!!

There is also what looks like a faint edge on spiral just immediately above, slightly left from the planetary... not the more obvious one further above that Mike mentioned.

Great!

Plenty of detail there like those hydrogen alpha blobs on its circumference, and look how blue the hot central star is.

Thanks Steven. Yes I saw your image. I guess we both like the unusual and rarely imaged things.

A lovely capture Steve.

As mentioned it looks so delicate like it's about to pop. The subtle colours are quite amazing as well.

Thanks Ric. I guess it's one of those old planetaries that probably wouldn't be there if you came back in a few hundred thousand years.

Your processing is also top notch. Well done.

Thanks Ken. You've done a great job picking out the galaxies. I didn't think there were that many.
