Hi all
Finally got some clear weather to test out the 600D's HD video on the Moon.
The full disc images wre taken the normal way, with stacking 10 indivicual raw iso 100 images, the closeups wre using the HD video zoom, where instead of using all the sensor, only the central part is used, at a resolution of 1to 1. It works out at 3x full sensor magnification. The ultra closeup is using further video zoom, to 10x full sensor magnification.

All video shot at ISO100, 100/sec shutter speed.

Seeing was pretty bad, heres a vid (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jQY3R4_vDr8)

Hi, impressive. Was this direct pics from camera lens and not via scope?

Thanks

They are prime (Newtonian focus) with camera attached direct to focuser as if I was doing deep sky imaging. I also used the baader coma corrector.
