Ok, so I'm still catching up on data from last year when I didn't have much time to collect let alone process. All the better to have something to do during La Nina perhaps. This effort was a "filler" collected over a single hour (0023 through 0120am 8/8/10) while I waited for Andromeda to get higher. I haven't included any of the 5 Lum frames taken. 2 were affected by an object moving across the FOV (http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/showthread.php?t=73361), and another had terrible tracking, so this is RGB 10:10:10 (each filter 3x200secs unbinned).

Nothing shabby about that effort Rob!

Thanks David and Mark. I thought it was half decent enough to put up. As it turned out clouds and fog made any M31 imaging a pain, so I'm glad I threw this one in.

Yes Mark, I'm looking forward to AF again too - hope to see you both there and hear tales of Hawaii. So far I've got a "leave pass" for the full 10 days this time, so fingers crossed for weather....:) :prey:

:) Not too shabby at all Rob.
Looking forward to catching up at AF. Are you going to the imaging conference too?

Yes, planning to JJJ - have taken the Fri off. Are you?
Keep behaving and rest up. Good to see you're "about".

Good - you can stop me waving my arms up and down and moaning "We're Not Worthy!!" if Rogelio, Mike S, or other astroP gurus come into the room

M15 huh? a rare shot for us southeners. I like quickies, they are nice to get sometimes and this is a neat catch indeed Robbi. Nicely framed too with those other bright stars.

Thanks Mike :D

Yes, its nice not to have all your eggs in one basket sometimes
I couldn't find many M15 images in the archive, so that was another reason to throw it up here.
I can honestly say I did try to do a bit of "rule of thirds" framing intentionally too, rather than usual "in the frame is good enough"....:P

M15, Very nice. Not seen down here so to see this is great.
Rob if you are only just getting around to last years image processing you must get too many good nights up there.

Thanks Doug. Nah, weather still playing with us here. I'm often guilty of skipping to the latest imaging effort and forgetting shorter efforts like this one. They often look boring as just a few mono frames, but its pleasing what you can get after a bit of work.

Very nice Rob. Came out well for such a short exposure. I like the composition too.

Cheers
