SPX350 F35.3. PGRFlea3, Astrodon filters+IR742nm.
High mist never let up highlighted by the Moon and moved slowly but stayed the night, hung overhead and in East and North with occassional gaps where brightness lifted, seeing was also very still like previous night. Only one decent set and an IR. Hope this steady seeing over last 3 months holds for Jupiter in August onwards?
R RGB 1320hrs
IR742nm 1324hrs UT.
Regards, John.

Shame about the mist John but still a beautiful RGB and I always like Saturn in IR.
Just how interesting will it be to see what has happened to the SEB on old Jove, certainly something to look forward to.
Very well done.

Great pics John. I love 'em.
This is something I don't get ... have you been imaging Saturn for 1,320 hours (55 days)? Or am I missing something here in the calculations?

Thanks Afro Boy, times are when the imaging run finished 1320hrs UT (local time 11.20pm Brisbane) - 70 secs for each channel (red25fps, green20fps blue13fps) - imaging run 3.5mins. Any longer and the detail would blur with Saturns rotation its all done quickly when the seeing improves with several sets taken during the night. Processed with Registax, MaximDL and PS-CS3.
Regards, John.

Thanks John. :thanx: That makes much more sense to me. I thought there was something wrong with me thinking people shot for 1000s of hours! :P
Cheers,
Af.
