Hi all
I think it was the 14th March? I set up to look at the Moon. I really just wanted to take a good look around but clouds were always interrupting.
Later on I came back and the views were very crisp and still - I whacked in my DM31 and took some images.
The attached image is of Tycho - I just love the rays from this crater! The other area I am always drawn to is Deslandres - the fishy looking larger crater at 12 o'clock - so much to see here!
Happy to get a pic or two!

Great image Matt  Nice and sharp
thanks for your comments about mine. As we are both using 8" SCT. With these type of set ups at prime focus and the cameras used the F ratio is higher than F10?
Are the cameras magnifying the image slightly?

Hi Dave F10 it is?
2000mm / 200mm
I can not imagine the camera can magnify the image - it is just a light cell - I am no expert though!
Keep posting your images - it is all about the journey and the triumphs along the way!
My favourite image came as a complete surprise to me - I was doing my first full Moon mosaic ever and only after I put all the shots together (and it being pointed out to me) I had captured the faint penumbral shadow of Earth during a Penumbral Lunar Eclipse - that was way back in 2005 now!

Great shot with good contrast and tones, I do like this area. That larger sensor makes mosaicing easier but I manage with the small Flea3 so will have to give a big mosaic a go soon.
