1 hour of Lum taken on 1st of March, only 3 min subs. I noticed some faint outer nebulosity while processing but decided to sacrifice it for a smoother background. Another one for longer subs and many more on a fine clear night.

SXVF-H9, VC200L @ f/9. 20 x 3min subs, no darks or flats, slightly cropped (about 20%)

Not too bad, Paul:):)

The longer subs will do it justice, but it'll be finding a decent night to get them on is going to be tough!!!.

Nice image Paul showing the internal detail well. I presume this is a mono camera you are using.

Yes it is Lester. I wasn't actually trying to get anything worthwhile that night it was more of a shake down. Pleasantly surprised to see what came out of it.

We don't get many Mark, but very very very occasionally we get lucky. Thanks

Nice shot Paul. It's good to see what the VC200L can capture with only three minute subs. Great focus and framing. What is the image circle for the 200L ie what diameter chip does it cover?

I think you should have left it in. I would have liked to see it, who cares about a darker background

Post a stretched version

Not sure Allan, certainly DSLR with the FR but more than that I'd have to do a bit of research. Out of my price range though ;)

I'll do a Sid Sid. ;) :cool2:

I'd like to have another tweek of my collimation and give it another go. There's stuff there I think I can bring out with a bit more exposure and tighter collimation.
