Last night I almost thought I'd beaten my previous 'best of' M83 (http://jfbo.webs.com/result_25mar2009_qm_crop_rotate_his t_titled.jpg).

It was a ripper night...very ,very steady.
This set suffered from the cooling being too close to dew point
with no dew heaters to deal with it.
The grainy/wavy cast over the result when fully stretched shows the
beginnings of ice forming on the Baader filter.
I've also got a pretty serious dust bunny I'm too lazy to deal with!
As well as that....(seems to come in threes!) I've got hot pixels
or bad pixels that survived calibration and show up in the align (bottom right).
Doesn't look too bad 10ft from the monitor though :)

I did a deconvolve with 30 iterations on the overall image.

New RA gear MkII / no autoguiding, only 3 recentres due to breeze.

Looks good on my iPhone screen. Are you going to call it "Triumph in the face of adversity"?

Great image Steve. M83 makes a nice target for the DSI II/Newt combo. The tracking looks good.

Nice shot, Steve:). Plenty of details in the arms...especially in the negative.
