Overall I agree with Steve35, a great vista
Just some minor feedback, the large version shows some patchy uneven smoothing, especially noticable in the outer areas, you might like to have a go at evening this out a little?
Nice work

You've got to be happy with that Doug! Yeah, a bit uneven noise wise, but you've got great depth there and your guiding looks good.

Dave, H, Troy, Leon, Craig, Steve, Mike 1, Mike 2 and Marcus - thanks for the comments and advice. Didn't think I would get away with my rough n' ready noise reduction patch-up job!
Will have to give this another go as suggested.
All the best

Will definitely Repro very soon - another situation where the comments of IISers really help. I have discovered a few new ways to handle noise and learn more about photoshop in the process. Noel Carboni's horizontal and vertical banding noise actions have helped too.
Hope to post soon

REPRO - not as 'in yer face' but hopefully sorted out the noise problems.
Cheers...

Doug,
Take a bow, sir. That reprocess is your finest image to date, and, one of the aesthetically best h-alpha renditions of this region I've ever seen.
Straight to the pool room.

Cheers Gents - it takes a few trials (and errors) to get to know how an image will behave during processing and how far one can push things.
Memo to self - never post your first try!
Cheers

Widefields of the horse in h alpha always remind me of those old guinness ads with the crashing waves with the horses galloping through them.
Great image Doug
Adam
