Hi all, this is an accumulation of 3 months, ended up with 24 x 10 minute exposures that were stacked in DSS. Image taken with Takahashi 160mm F3.3 Astrograph, and Astro 40D at iso 800.

Thanks for your comments everyone, yes this will be my first to be printed off to A3 size and put on a wall in the house. To my surprise Celestine said yes.

Taken over three months hey?...that's dedication to a target Lester

Love the field and there is plenty of nebulosity coming through

It does look a bit vignetted, did you use flats?

How's those star spikes :eyepop:they look good though ...I think because they add a crisp sharpness to the field and convey a sense of deep exposure..? I will no doubt see these in some shots with my new beast :)

Thanks Batema and Mike for your comments. No flats. Yes the spikes may be the only downside of the Astrograph, but for me the F3.3 is the big plus. All the best.

Wow, that's lovely Lester. Beautiful colours and the spikes are huge! I don't mind them.

Congrats on such a fine image. Took my breath away when I first viewed it.

It's now IOTW (http://www.iceinspace.com.au).

Thanks Daniel and Paul for your comments.

I have been trying to put a larger image on the forum from Photobucket (the free version), has anyone on here been able to do this? Thanks.
