I bought this about 11 months ago from Bintel
as a grab and go scope but I have found it a bit
too large for quick set ups so I am hoping to find
a better home for it.

Excellent condition.

Features include:
120mm doublet FPL-53 ED glass.
900mm focal length, f/7.5.
Dual-speed 2" 360° rotatable Crayford focuser
with very smooth 11:1 fine-focus
(holds a 31 Nagler near zenith).
WO type hinged tube rings and
21cm Vixen style dovetail mounting bar.
1.25" eyepiece adaptor.
Dovetail finder scope base on OTA.
Aluminium objective lens cap.
Retractable lens shade.
Aluminium-clad carrying case.
My improvised OTA carry handle.
My mum's hand knitted woollen lens shade cosy.

Also included is a Kendrick Premium 5" dew heater strap worth $109
and a Telegizmos TGR5 scope/GEM mount cover worth US$58.

I paid $2700 at Bintel for the OTA.

Asking $1300

Pick up only, from Dee Why, Sydney.

PM me,
gb.

Someone needs to buy this so it stops tempting me. The Equinox/Eon is a hot item on cloudynights forum and Mr. Rohr has tested 3 samples finding consistently good optics - a very good ED doublet.

My school observatory uses three Equinox 120s for astrophotography tuition, etc, and they are simply outstanding instruments.

There is no doubt this is a superb OTA in the context of bang for your buck but sadly I think we are all simply witnessing the unemotional and unkind economic realities of market forces at play here in terms of other good OTAs also for sale and the gradually decreasing prices of new products in the wake of the GFC:(

Reduced again to $1300, pick up only.

Thanks for the bump guys.

I see there seems to be at least one flattener avialable for it:

If by some miracle of the planetary alignments, this scope is still available when tax return time arrives I will be sorely tempted by the very attractive pricing.
