Seeing was above average near dawn, with some fine detail present and moderate amplitude (but rapidly varying) larger scale wobbles. Tried a few sequences with longer fls, but went back to ~ 4m - seems to be about the best compromise for Saturn with this scope under typical conditions. And the moon was impossible to ignore, so took some images of that as well. Thanks for looking.

Nice shots, Ray:)...like the Saturn shot, especially. Good details in the disk and rings.

Very nice Saturn Ray, reckon this is one of your best efforts.
Plenty of detail within the storm and a really nice job with the processing.
Well done
Regards
Trevor

Hi John. Thanks for your kind comments. I also really enjoy imaging the moon because the images can be interesting at almost any image scale.
Hi Trevor. Thanks for your positive comments. I was very pleased when a bit of storm detail emerged in this Saturn image. Lot of luck though - I was ready to pack up for the night but decided to do one last run and chanced on a bit of fairly stable air.
Hi Troy. Thanks for your comment.

Hi Ray. Very nice mate! The Saturn image is good, & great to see you using the grey matter when it comes to seeing & the corresponding FR.
That moon image is tops too:thumbsup:

Hi John. Thanks for your comments. Yes, with a smaller scope it's sometimes hard to find the best combination of parameters - there is always a shortage of well behaved photons. regards Ray
