At some point soon I will have to remove and clean my sct corrector, inside and out. The Fungus has got it. :( I know that when I remove it I have to make sure all spacers and seals have to go back in the same place and the plate has to be orientated the same way.

But do I need to remove the secondary and its holder as well?

I'll be using Bintel solution to clean the corrector, any suggestions like rinsing the corrector first with distilled water?

thanks for any info

Need hammer, bigger the better, and a few drinks first.
I don't think the removal of the secondary is required at all, just the corrector, and carefully.
Mark the rim with an index that makes replacement foolproof, and document where bits and pieces are and came from.
Piece of cake, even for you.

I've already posted a thread ages ago about cleaning corrector plates but I didn't ask about removing the secondary.

I'll link to it now incase others are interested in the process

Enough of my smart cracks Paul.
Why remove the secondary though, just clean around it I reckon.
Gary.

I was just concerned about getting fluid under it. But I'll be careful ;)
