Hmm .. got me thinking ..
So, I presume the key paragraph which may be of interest to some here is:



So, overall, we have the upper limit of known matter (stars, planets, etc) increasing mainly due to better technologies for detection. We have the amounts of DM for galaxy formation, decreasing.

The difference in proportions of DM to Baryonic matter in the obs. universe is huge … 63% DM, 37% Baryonic (a rough estimate). So, DM still remains as the overwhelming majority of 'matter' in our obs universe, eh ?

There's no escaping the stuff, folks !!

No...they still don't know what it is and they can only "detect" it indirectly, so it still might not exist. Dark matter is nothing more than another hook to hang their ignorance on. The best (and most accurate) thing they can say is they don't know what is actually happening or what this "extra mass/matter" is...if it is that at all.

.. or it gets made redundant by some other parallel hypothesis, which also fits all the existing observations..
