Taken end of January in desperation to capture something:P

8 x 10min subs +darks and flats. Taken through my W.O. Flt110 with a Modded Canon 20D and 12nm HA eos clip filter. Levels,curves in Photoshop CS3.

Comments/suggestions welcome

Thanks for looking

That looks good Geoff - nice depth to it.

Nice shot, Geoff:)

Now all you'll need is some RGB subs.

Great image for sure Geoff. I love the FOV you've got there. Nice softness to it, while still wonderful contrast. Hard to pick fault or make constructive suggestion when the image is that good

Edges of the Rosette looks like you may have overdone noise reduction a wee bit - would that be a fair comment? Admittedly a bit hard to tell from a lo res image though.
Only suggestion would be to try and push those Ha subs - 10mins minimum, 15mins preferable. Remember we are pushing uphill with DSLR Ha imaging!
Great image
All the best

Thanks Peter I'm getting to like this HA filter

Thanks Carl When the temp cools I'll try for a color shot to match

Marc the weather last month was a touch ordinary, hopefully will be better next month

Steve, yes I really like HA images the contrast really shows through

Thanks Rob, it may be a touch soft due to trying to tame the noise, but I like it

Doug you may be correct as I did have to push the noise reduction due to high ambient temperature that night. When I read your comments I checked and those subs were actually 10 mins not 5min, silly me:P guiding worked well at 10min so I'll try at 15 min and see how that comes out Thanks geoff
