Is Seeing Believing

Got this (http://www.sbs.com.au/documentary/program/isseeingbelieving)in an email from a mate. I'm not sure if this has been posted before but I found it fascinating. It also raises a few questions about how we perceive colors (amongst other things) while processing our pictures. Even when you are aware of it your eyes still see different colors. The brain is such a fantastic, adaptive and mysterious thing. Mind blowing realtime processing power. But it seems it caches a lot of the information and that's where some of the problem lies. Longish viewing but well worth the time IMHO. Enjoy. :)

Thanks Marc,:thumbsup:that was very fascinating and absolutely amazing from start to finish on just how the brain and our senses can work and trick us. Interesting was the woman with Synaesthesia with the mixed senses so as she tastes or hears she see's shapes and colours!
Also similar to the rubber hand trick they did it reminded me of seeing a documentary once of how a man with an amputated hand had a constant annoying feeling that his amputated fist was tightly clenched so they put his good hand beside a mirror as a clenched fist tricking his brain into thinking it was his missing hand and made him unclench and permanently relieving the sensation.

Yeah this blind guy riding his bike was quite something. Daredevil kind of stuff. I was amazed how the brain perceives colors. Even starring you in the face but on different background you still see different colors when you know they're the same.

Could be your flash installation. Try clearing your cache and reload the flash player from the adobe website. It's a very long download though. Big file.

Marc, it still crashes with IE, I downloaded the latest adobe flash player. Message I got when it crashed was "Flash10m.ocx" was operating when the problem occurred. Typical microcrud crashing...

Ok, sounds like a plugin problem. What you need to do is completely uninstall the flash player with the flash uninstaller. Then reboot the machine. Once done go to the adobe installation and install the player only (not the google toolbar and all the other stuff) then go through the prompt.
