Hi,
I figured I should start posting here :) Some of you have read my thread in General Chat about moving to Australia from this cold land that is Finland, but since this project will take a while, we can get acquainted already.

Here's my latest image: M38 and NGC1907.

My equipment is a SkyWatcher ED80 on HEQ5 and an unmodded Canon 450. I image from a light polluted site :(

Here's the full field:

And this is the 100% crop:

Comments? Suggestions?

Thanks all :)

Nice colourful stars in a lovely starfield, Salva.

How many frames did you take, and what was your exposure time?

Stars look quite round to my eye, so alignment/tracking is OK.

Do you think your focus is sharp? I'm not sure myself. How do you focus - do you use a mask?

Congrats on your first image here - better than my first several! (and come to think of it, probably better than anything I produce now :D )

Hi Eric. It's 37x300'. I think the focus is sharp: I used a DIY Bahtinov mask. Thanks for the comment :)
