OK, I am game,
Ed80-120 on an Eq6 is my bet.
Considering Jen has been "dabbling" in the black arts with her reflector and having a devil of a time with alignment and "jenhandling" then I reckon the refractor is the go, on either the HEQ5 or the EQ6.....
Dobs are fine, but hmmmmm, Jen, a bit too predictable.....
Using the force.....to figure this out.
Am I right?
Cheers
Chris
:lol::lol: (jenhandling) waltzing around back yard :P
Chris have you been doing some homework or are you just stalking me
There might be a few comments that i have posted that might have given it away some where along the tracks mmmm
But im not telling just yet ;)

Nope, not stalking, but I have to say.....FIGJAM!
Just used my brains and figured out what you would buy, based on how well I know you and what I think you would get.....
Cant help it if I have talent (he says modestly :P)
What do I win?
Cheers

Ummm winner will get sent a lovely PM pic of me with the new toy with a big black cloud in the back ground  Cyclone Yasi's Older brother will arrive when scope turns up  Thats what happens when you get a new scope right

OK, tuning in to your frequency a little more.....
Allrighty then, I will wait for my PM pic of your Black Diamond ED80 on an HEQ5 Pro in the not too distant future then. Nice price/performance compromise....
And some lovely widefield shots not long after...... sorry if I ruined the surprise.
Nuff said.

Here's a wild guess:
GSO RC-8" f/8 SDX astrograph on an EQ6 Pro.
Woohoo Jen! I bet it's a scope for astrophotography , so I'm not going with a dob. So when do you get it Jen??
Paddy
17-02-2011, 05:02 PM
I agree it's got to be for imaging. I would have gone for Chris' refractor on HEQ5 but for Dave's comment. So I'll go for 8" cassegrain or RC.

Since Jen wants to get into imaging, my guess is that the scope will be on an EQ mount not a DOB.
Hmm ... I thought I would get up this am, and would find out, oh well, a bit longer. ;)

Hey Jen, so a new scope ehhhhh..... So.. what is it, what is it, what is it!!!! :jump2:
Well I know you have been bitten by the imaging bug so I reckon it's either a Heq5 or EQ6 but not sure about the OTA. Maybe an ED 80 or a 8" f5 Skywatcher.
Am I close?

Hmmm,
Jen's last activity was yesterday at 1:47pm, so that may have been the time the courier arrived?
Of course, with the boxes and the instructions etc, she may not have had any sleep and wanted to get all assembled before taking a pic of the setup to post here....
Or.....she is doing something else.
Ooooh the anticipation.......
Cheers
Chris
