just saw the episode of top gear where they were given the challenge to get the reliant robin car to fly like the space shuttle in 12 days.

i was amazed at the work that was done by the "rocket men", how they managed to build it so similar to the space shuttle, actually fly it, achieve srb separation.

pity the ET did not separate.

all in all, i loved the effort by that team of rocket guys.

I remember watching that episode on sbs a couple of years ago. At the time it was the most powerful private rocket built in europe or something? Was a great episode and I was suprised at how well it went (apart from the failed explosive bolt)

That was a classic episode.

One of my favourites along with the race to the North Pole.

Amazing! Did it come down hard though... I hope the test area was really remote. :eyepop: Locals wouldn't have been too impressed.
