Had a go at the Moon as it was higher than Saturn when seeing was good end of January. Seeing just about good enough for 10meter plus fl, used AviStack with 1500frames of 3000stacked and CS3 for further processing. Hadley Rille has come out well with Hadley crater next to it 5km across, Apollo 15 landed here with a Lunar Roving Vehicle for a long 3 day stay.
Montes Tenerife sourrounded by lava flow with some wrinkles on the floor, these mountains are 2.5km in height.
Thanks, John.

Great hi res images there John.
If only the luner landers pulled up alongside them to see the height from there perspective. 2.5 ks would make a good shot in the background.
Cheers Kev.

Great images John, nice to see Hadley so well defined! The landscape in that area is spectacular.
There are some impressive panoramas available, for example:
Apollo 15 landing site with Mt Hadley in background: http://www.moonpans.com/prints/40_A15ALSEP.htm
The Lunar Rover in front of a bend in Hadley rille: http://www.moonpans.com/prints/40_A15Sta2.htm
I always find the sense of scale difficult to comprehend due to the smoothness of the landscape. Mt Hadley rises 1.5kms from the plains but looks more like a large hill.
These two are Apollo 17 and are just incredible:

Thanks for the comments, I think 10meter fl is the maximum in vgood seeing although 7meters may still show the same detail, I am seeing 300m/pixel here. Hadley rille is my favourite lunar site but I also love Aristachus area as well as terrain is so exotic. flea3 gives me about 55fps so can't complain as I can get a quick lunar fill before Saturn takes the stage.

Love the shadow detail on those mountains, would love to be able to pull off results like this one day. Great work, cheers
