Just finished mowing the lawn late this afternoon,I saw the crescent moon slipping away to the west,so before putting mower away,I quickly took a few images.Using a Canon 50D and 400 L hand held.
According to the older farmers and graziers,A crescent moon on this angle-is 'Tipping the water'--apparently it means it will be a wet month. The same crescent moon-more tilted to bottom-is 'catching the water'-suppose to mean little rain.
All stories and just something to talk about I guess,But I have noticed these basic bush observations seem fairly close to the mark-(please note BBT's I am not intending to open a can of worms here)
Anyhow,I hope this image is of interest,I was lucky to get the capture between clouds (again),and the gum trees framed it well.
Thanks for looking-Chris
