Question:
What type of scope is a "Spectrum 60"
Never come across that name before???
Edit: OK, OK found it - it's the 60mm upgrade to the PST - didn't realise they had given it a new name!

yes its the mod I never dared do myself :)

visually its been really great..imaging wise-well, with my old ToUcam it was a bit underwhelming so I am hoping the DMK will add a bit of ooompmh

thanks for the interest David

one day I'd like to do a bit of a comparison with a Lunt 60 to see how this upgrade stacks up

I know a guy in my astronomy club who has a Lunt so I should be able to tee it up at least a visual shoot out

Nice one .There wasn,t much other than that yesterday. Out of interest I've got the 60mm Daystar scope so perhaps at a further note in the discussions forum we can do a running comparison when the sun is a bit more active.

I collected a number of images of the same prominence over a period of one hour and found that there was one capture when the cloud must have thinned further, allowing a bit more detail to be captured
..here it is

Yes it would be great to do a side by side comparison of the two scope. Visually I really like the spectrum 60, its so much more satisfying than the PST.
