Hi All, had another go at Mars last night under fairly ordinary (bit below average) seeing conditions. Still getting good definition of the larger features such as Syrtis Major at centre here with the 4x powermate.
cheers,

not a single reply... sob!
nobody cares about the little red guy anymore
G'day Rob
Mate, the only reason I've not posted a comment in regards to your Mars image is I'm too stunned and amazed you're still getting that much detail and degree of clarity out of the little red blighter!
That's really good work. I wouldn't even dare try with just a NexImage and 2.5x Powermate. Certainly not with Canberra's seeing of late.
So, you keep firing away and I'll keep looking at your images and quietly applauding.:)

Yeah sorry Mate, been sulking here all day, ask Peter he has had to put up with my whinging.
Great image, good detail despite its distance. You will be remembered for the sheer persistence and images obtained long after the 2005 opposition.

Very well done, especially considering how small it is getting. Don't stop taking pictures of the small little red thing,:rofl::lol:
