Hello all,

I am setting up a pair of solar telescopes for the general public; mostly either primary schools or oldies. The telescopes would be a Lunt/B1200 with pressure tuning for the Halpha, and Skywatcher ED80 pro. For the binoviewer I am looking at the one Andrews supplies: a Baader maxbright?

I am trying to gauge how well a binoviewer would work. There is the extra hassle of focusing for both eyes, and adjusting the inter-ocular distance versus the "more natural" use of 2 eyes.

Comments welcome

Stefan

for public stuff much easier for one eyed i reckon-its to slow with b/viewers to adjust

I've tried Binoviewers with "the public" before and found it harder than mono viewing. People had trouble adjusting and merging...took a lot more time.

Would have to agree mono is probarly more the way to go for a large group. Even with a few friends I find adjusting binoviewers to suit different people time consuming and fidgety.
