Hi,
Got a clear night last night to try out the modified 300D. Pretty impressive. ;)
Still lost quite a bit of red due to light pollution removal, but it certainly is a lot more sensitive.
6x2min shots ISO800, Modified Canon 300D, plus external IR cut filter.
Autoguided C9.25 @ f/6.3.
Whadaya reckon Ponders!
Cheers

Yep... They were nasty. Very washed out in the Red. Be ok for a Luminance channel if you wanted one though.

Almost as good as a 20DA huh! :D... For reference here is a Tarantula shot I took pre-mod from a dark site.
So if the new image is so much better under a light polluted sky I can't wait to get it under a dark sky! I'm still reckon I'm lacking a bit of red with the mod'ed image due to the processing out of the light pollution.
Cheers
