Ended up selling the scope(s) I got this for, and am happily using a couple of dobs, so no real need for this.
Perfect for the grab and go, but awesome as an alt/az on it's own right.
Lightly used. has C/W bar extension as well. No tripod nor saddles. Most saddles I have had bolt straight on.
Shown on an AP wooden tripod, but likely adaptable to many/most.
AU$350 plus post/PayPal.

Hi Gary.

A couple of questions:

If you remove the counter weight shaft, can this be a dual mount version?
(The black ends look a bit asymmetrical in the photos)

What base mount thread does this one have?

Is the silver base plate included?

Thanks,
gb.

Hi gb
yes to all.
The C/W shaft unscrews and is removable. This leaves two similar ends, both which accept a saddle. I actually used it a few times like this, with a Mewlon 210 on one side (used the Tak supplied saddle screwed straight on) and a North Group ED127 refractor on the other side, with a Losmandy saddle screwed on. Worked a treat, but if you only use one side you really need the C/W shaft and a weight.
I'd have to check, but from memory 3/8" thread. Whatever it is I was able to source a bolt in my "bits and pieces" container.
"Silver Base" is actually a disk of polyethylene or whatever, cut into a disk with the trusty router and with a hole bored in the centre to accept the base (it has a slight step). If you want it you are welcome to it as well.
That help?
Gary

gb,
While it will cost more than the mount itself, I am warming to the idea of selling the tripod as well, it is an Astro-Physics/Baader wooden tripod, (APWT). If this is of any use?
Gary
