That video made me feel so dizzy - you really have to watch the full video, just when you think it gets worse, it gets even worse. And I can't believe he walked across some of those concrete pieces which were riddled with cracks.

Is there a shop that sells cigarettes or something on top of that mountain,:question: or more to the point, they just did it for fun :screwy:.. Do they climb back down another way or I wonder if they have to use the same route. :question: And pardon my ignorance please ... that walkway must lead to something beautiful (aside from view), is there a town or something up there :question: It seems a long walk and am thinking whatever it is, it must be worthwhile.

You have to admire the work that went into that.
I find it incredible that people could be up there working like carting all that concrete in as well as driving all those supports into the rockface.

Sounds like there's a safety wire running along the path to which one can attach a carabiner. I would have given it a go when I was younger - think of the exhilaration - somewhat of a rite of passage for local teenage boys perhaps?

I do get height sick, and parts of what he did made me a tad nauseated. Way to dangerous, and there have already been fatalities. :sadeyes:
Also didnt like the way his shoelaces had been tied - he could have accidently tripped over them, and down he goes. :help:

We all get more cautious with age but surely there are some youngsters on the forum who would like to give this a go? It doesn't look any more dangerous than rock climbing.

Participants of adventure sports are aware of the dangers and practice in order to deal with emergency situations; they also develop skills over a period of years. It's healthy to have a fear of heights and most of us can overcome these fears.

Hi Craig, the pilots would be aware of local conditions and be able to predict turbulence and rotors, though I'm not sure they'd be significantly affected due to their high speed and already steep glide ratio.

The best part about near death experiences is that you get to laugh about it all at the pub that evening - just adds to the fun :)

After the video had finished i clicked another one there and it showed a helicopter in there lifting someone on a stretcher .....seems he or she didnt make it.

I think this guy, (Dan Osman), eventually died at age 35 in Yosemite, following a 'controlled free fall" jump, when his rope failed (at least he was using one then).

Age doesn't alter the risk factor !
