Stellarvue sv105 f6.2
For sale due to my un co-operative neighbours.
Stellarvue SV105 f6.2 triplet APO.

This scope features superb optics, manufactured by LZOS.

These optics were designed by Thomas Back, and are the same as used in the TMB 105 F6.2.And are of unquestionable quality.
The scope is stardust blue in colour, and was sold at additional cost in limited numbers from the factory. The lens cap is metal, and is screw on.The scope comes with a factory clamshell mount.
The focuser is 2" feathertouch.
It comes with a multi reticle reflex finder, and with an alluminium storage case.
The scope is in immaculate condition. The only reason I am selling it is due to my neighbours going back on a promise to remove a large tree that blocks a large section of the viewable sky.
I am asking $2,700 and would at this stage only like pickup.
People are reminded that this scope should not be confused with the later stellarvue Sv105 which is F7 and totally different optics.

Outstanding optic. Probably the best short fl 4" triplet ever made - including the AP Traveller.

Yes but I don't think many people in Australia realise it.

Just to give another boost for the unheralded SV105:
This is the same Thomas Back designed optic that is used in the APM/TMB and Officine Stellare 105s that cost the wrong side of $4000 - you can check out optical tests at www.astro-foren.de (http://www.astro-foren.de)
This is the one telescope I really regret selling!

Tempted

Is there a focal reducer available for this?

They don't make a genuine focal reducer for this optic as it is already F6.2,but I imagine that you would be able to buy a quality reducer from someone like Astro Physics,Just don't settle for a cheaper alternative,as you wouldn't do the optics justice. There are genuine field flatteners available. And Vic Maris, the guy that hand made the scope is easily contactable regarding any technical questions.

Yes I paid U.S.$4,700 for this scope, and that was when the Aust dollar was nowhere near where it is now.
And you have a TSA120 to help you get over your loss:-)

If you are in the market for a new telescope you should really consider this Stellarvue if you have the budget. This is a beautiful scope, very well designed & built to last. I bought mine from Waxing Gibbous (Peter) & the optics are superb. You pay for quality & you won't be disappointed if you buy this scope.

Just my opinion for any potential buyers.
